New birds for the year list today were Black-headed Gull, Common Gull and a small flock of Golden Plover. (42)

The Barn Owl put in an appearance around the houses at dusk tonight. (39)

Sparrowhawk was the latest addition to the village bird list today.(38)

Jan 11th

2 New birds today Bullfinch and a magnificent female Peregrine that cruised low over the village. (37)

Jan 7th

Brown Rat and Grey Squirrel are new for the mammal list (5)

and Goldcrest to the bird list (35).

New Year

I’ve decided to keep a few year lists for the village this year. So all birds, mammals, amphibians and butterflies I see within the parish boundary will be recorded on here.
 I’ll try to post photos when I can.

Mammals… Rabbit, Chinese Water Deer. (2 species)
